Thank You Letter from the mother of a wounded soldier.

I'm writting on behalf of my son - Nick. He wishes to extend his heartfelt thanks for your gift. He received a suitcase filled with much needed items recently at the Brooke Army Memorial Hosptial in Ft. Sam Houston, Tx. He was injured on the 19th of Aug, 2006, when the Humvee he was driving exploded d/t an IED in Afghanistan. He sustained burns over 58% of his body and had burns in his airway and lungs. He was on the Ventilator for 11 days and in ICU for 22 days. He has just been released as an outpatient and will continue to recieve care there for the next year.

We were overwelmed with joy when he recieved the suitcase. He had just run out of shaving supplies and was ready to be discharged and needed the clothing.

Nick wishes he could email you himself, but both hands as well as most of his body had 3rd degree burns and have been grafted, so it will be a long time before he is able to use the computer.

Again, we thank you, we have been stunned by the support of the American people. We truely do live in a Great Nation. May God Bless you and your staff!

Cindy
