Drive will aid hospitalized servicemen

Men and women presently hospitalized at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington D.C. and Bethesda Naval Hospital are in great need of many basic personal and travel items.

To this end, the owners of BBC Salon, Nick Mascolo and John Clemente, also a combat veteran of Vietnam, have set up a collection site at the salon, 1 Highwood Avenue in Tenafly to collect these needed items. With the approval of the mayor and council, the pair have a display consisting of a 2.5-ton truck with an 8-foot sign attached.

Donors are asked to complete a donation card so that the donation can be identified to the recipient.

Said Mascolo and Clemente, "It's time to honor our serviceman and women in our armed forces that have been severely wounded. As Americans, we owe them our gratitude and respect."

Are residents are encouraged to donate items of need now.

Below is a list of items donors can bring to the salon:

Donors should place all donated items in the drop box in front of BBC Salon.
