On Sunday, February 19, from 1 to 6 p.m., Buckley's Inn Between restaurant will host a Chinese Action on behalf of Bold Brave Courageous, an organization whose mission is to offer comfort items, which include supplemental clothing, toiletries and entertainment devices such as CDs, CD players, DVDs, books and games, to injured military personnel who have returned from Afghanistan, Iraq or other overseas destinations. The items are packed in rolling suitcases and then delivered by caring volunteers to the injured personnel who are recovering in our nation's military hospitals. The volunteers also express kind words of sympathy, gratitude and acknowledgment for those men and women who have served our country.
All proceeds from the auction will go to providing these comfort items and support. Raffle prizes will include a vacation, restaurant gift certificates, Seiko watches and a number of gift baskets.
